    Dr FOO Check Teck LLB (London) MBA (Finance, City of London) PhD (Corporate Strategy, St. Andrews) Barrister Advocate and Solicitor FCMA CPA ACIS FCIM Cert-in-Productivity (Japan Productivity Center,Tokyo) is globally well known for his empirical research into corporate art of war strategy. Before turning an academic, he had worked in Dutch bank (legal and HRM), German MNC (projects) and National Productivity Board (NPB). At NPB he set up the corporate planning unit for national productivity strategy. As NPB management trainer, his focus was on Japanese corporate strategy. His early Productivity in Transition by McGraw-Hill netted a Silver Medal Award. And his doctoral thesis (1990) when published by Butterworths Heinemann as a hardback, Organizing Strategy: Sun Tzu Business Warcraft (with Professor Peter Grinyer) was chosen by Blackwell in Oxford as Book-of-the-Month. The paperback edition, Sun Tzu on Management was selected as Spring's Choice. He then explored deeply into the thinking embedded in Art of War through his Reminiscences of an Ancient Strategist: Mind of Sun Tzu. The book won the top Singapore NBDCS book prize. More importantly, the book was recommended by World Review in London as essential reading for global leaders. In his early days in Raffles Institution, he won English Literature prize (1968) and his play, Revenge won the top Raffles Drama Festival prize. His work on corporate identity strategy won the Outstanding Paper Award in London, UK Literati Club's Award. In Singapore for his diverse talents, he was named by Straits Times as Singapore's Man of Renaissance. His documentary photographs shot whilst he was ILO Consultant to Vietnam government received the National Arts Council Award for a public solo photography exhibition. Currently he is founding Editor of an Emerald International Journal of Chinese Management Studies: he is founding Editor of an Emerald International Journal of Chinese Management Studies:
