Welcome to Emerging Market Case Studies (EMCS) Conference 2011 at Singapore!

The conference will be held at the global city, Singapore. Singapore is a bustling cosmopolitan city that offers a world-class living environment, with her landscape populated by high-rise buildings and gardens. One interesting facet you’ll discover about Singapore is a ubiquitous collage of cultures, where people of different ethnicities and beliefs co-exist.

We are in a new decade. The global financial crisis marks the end of the last decade, whereby we witnessed the unprecedented global economic cooperation that pulled the world out of the possible ‘collapse’ of global economy. The emerging markets had largely a good run in the last decade. With emerging themes of ‘multipolar world’ and ’social media revolution’ surfacing in this new decade, it is timely to look at out how the corporate companies are adapting to these changes and how are they repositioning themselves to drive growth in the global marketplace.

The Conference Co-Chairman, Editor in Chief for Emerald Emerging Market Case Studies, Dr Rasli Amran, will personally conduct the case study workshop on the 6th December 2011. The objective of the workshop is to help authors learn how to write a good case study paper. Following presentations, authors with promising papers will be invited to develop their papers for Emerald Emerging Market Case Studies 2011. This premier case study collection from Emerald aims to be the resource of choice for management educators around the world. At the Conference we will welcome expressions of interest from authors to contribute on Editorial membership of Emerald Emerging Market Case Studies 2011.

Sun Tzu Art of War Institute plans to organize separately a trip to Iskandar Johor to meet with Investors, CEOs, directors and senior executives. Authors who like to speak at the Iskandar may propose their topic (one hour) for consideration. If selected, the Institute will cover his or her hotel expenses and lunch (Concorde Hotel) for Friday, December 9th.
