COURSE OVERVIEW
Business landscape has greatly transformed in the past decade. Globalization and advancement in technology has made knowledge more fluid, intensifying competition. Economies can no longer compete based on knowledge as creativity and innovation becomes the new ‘requirement’. Organization needs to have the ability to think, plan and manage strategically to success in the new age.With the spectacular rise in China as a global power, there is a growing need to understand Chinese wisdom in order to compete effectively with them. Learning Sun Tzu Art of War, the de facto standard of Chinese wisdom in strategy, is a must-know, to compete in a world of balancing power.
The key objective of this course is to help the students develop strategic thinking as a life skill, through the works in Sun Tzu Art of War. In the course, the students will learn the strategic principles and develop a strategic perspective in understanding events. They will cover strategic management using some of the great leaders and the student will learn how strategy is managed through case studies of internal politics and against enemies. The student will also study organization strategy process, invigorate the strategic planning and implementation process to become a thinking organization.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
This is a 6 months part-time program comprising of 4 modules. Classes (combination of lectures, tutorials and self- study) are conducted on two-weekday from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm.
ASSESSMENT MODE
Students will be assessed using a combination of examinations and assessments which could include quizzes, group discussions, case studies, presentations and examination.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
All applicants must possess:
A degree or similar professional qualifications from a recognized university/institution, OR
A diploma from a polytechnic with at least 3 years of working experience
Senior executives with extensive experience but without academic qualification may be considered on a case to case basis
PROGRAM FEES
The total investment for this program is S$6,800 (subject to prevailing GST rates) payable in 2 installments of S$3,400. There is a non-refundable application processing fee of S$100.00 (subject to prevailing GST rates) chargeable upon application and submission of documents.
The course fees cover course materials and tuition by local tutors and DOES NOT include textbooks and other miscellaneous charges, if any.

CHINESE STRATEGIC THINKING
The first module Chinese Strategic Thinking focuses on the sharpening the mind of the participants in strategic thinking. Through a deep understanding of Sun Tzu Art of War, the participant will experience for themselves how the principles is constantly applied in real time cases. They will develop the skill to see the strategic principles inherent between success and failure in competition. In the course, the participant will also be exposed to other works by later Chinese famous strategists such as Sun Bin and Zhu Ge Liang.
THE UNCONSIOUS MIND
This module is uniquely designed to help to arouse the use of unconsious mind in strategic thinking. Unlike most strategic learning program, which teaches strategy using consious methodology, this module explores the use of unconsious mind in strategies. This presents an added dimension to strategic thinking through the study of little-explored methodology such as intuition, predicament, dream etc. This module is activity-based, whereby an unique combination of scientic and art approach is applied to not only understand unconsious mind, but also to awake the power of the unconsious mind of the participant.
CHINESE STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
Confucianism is deeply rooted in Chinese culture. Traditionally, the father is perceived as the head of the household and he is decision maker and everyone in the household has to respect the decision. This concept is superimposed to that of a state, whereby the Emperor/King is responsible for the strategic decisions and the success/failure is highly dependent on his strategic leadership. This is similar to modern context whereby the CEO is the strategic leader for the organization. In this module, the student will learn the various principles in Chinese strategic leadership, how It align with modern strategic leadership. Moreever, they will study the minds of great strategic leaders, Genghis Khan & Wu Ze Tian, and how their strategic thinking skill differentiate from other leaders and achieve unparalleled feat in history.
THINKING ORGANIZATION
The gradual shift from a knowledge economy to a thinking economy would demand a correspondance shift from organization positioning. Does an organization think? In this module, the participant will relate the concept of thinking organization and define the ‘brain’ of the organization. The participant will study strategic planning, implementation and review and they will learn to investigate and analyze the strategy process of organizations through various frameworks. With a deep understanding of strategy process, the participant can help transform it to a thinking organization.
