At the Chinese Practical Wisdom Forum and Conference held in CEIBS, China, there was a growing realization among participants that the time may have arrived for the world to want to learn more about Chinese success stories and the underlying theories behind Chinese managerial practices.
It is with great delight that I am informing you that our journal, Chinese Management Studies has made it to the SSCI list of journals. It is most timely. By any standard, it is a most remarkable achievement. To-date, CMS is substantially into the 3rd year plus (4th Volume 2nd Issue is only recently out). On behalf of Professor Foo Check Teck, Founding Editor-in-Chief, Chinese Management Studies, Emerald UK, Sun Tzu Art of War Institute will like to thank fellow academia and colleagues world-wide for having their confidence in CMS and contributing their research.
In anticipation of growing demand on Chinese Management Studies and leadership Strategy, Sun Tzu Art of War Institute will be planning to organize the inaugural Chinese Management Conference in Singapore, 2011. Following are some of the details of our Asia Road Show to lay the foundation for the academic conference in 2011.
March 2010 – Official Launch of Art Of War CEO in collaboration with Singapore Tourism Board, The goal is to integrate Chinese practical wisdom with real-world, professional practices.
May 2010 – Sun Tzu Art of War Conference in India Chennai (Madras) and exploring the establishment of Kautilya Art of War Institute in India as a branch of Sun Tzu Art of War Institute.
June 2010 – Research Seminar at Sun Yat Sen University on Special Issue on “Emerging Models of Chinese Industrial Relations” (Lewin’s curve, Foxconn’s cases) by Dr Foo CT.
Sept 2010 – Dr Foo CT, Founder of Sun Tzu Art of War and Mr Frankie Thong, CEO designate of the institute will be delivering a Keynote Lecture in the 3rd Conference on Management in China, Lanzhou and inviting professors for a review editorial board.
Sept 2010 – Exploratory Trip to Urumqi to explore the “Western Region” . We like to assess on the ground the impact of Chinese government policies on developing the West. If possible I like to make a call for research papers from professors out there in the far West of China.
Oct 2010 – Official Launch of Art Of War CFO in collaboration with ACCA, The goal is to integrate Chinese practical wisdom with real-world, professional practices. The Institute is working together with UK ACCA to launch a six month program: Becoming Art of War CFO
Oct 2010 – Participating in the Executive MBA Council Annual Conference in Vancover with Aventis School of Management to explore the integratation Chinese practical wisdom into MBA programs of Top Business Schools.
